Nā Momi Hoʻoheno was created to capture the treasured life stories of our Hawaiian people so that future generations might be enriched by these priceless moʻolelo of our cherished and unique way of life.
Leianaikaroselaniomaui “Leiana” Long Woodside was born on November 27, 1926 in Kahului, Maui. A kumu hula from an esteemed hula lineage, Aunty Leiana has been involved with a variety of community activities such as Aloha Week and the Hawaiian Civic Clubs. She is well known as a former curator of Hānaiakamalama, the Queen Emma Summer Palace in Nuʻuanu.
