Nā Momi Hoʻoheno was created to capture the treasured life stories of our Hawaiian people so that future generations might be enriched by these priceless moʻolelo of our cherished and unique way of life.
The late Mary Lou Kekuewa devoted her life to the rare and delicate art form of feather work and is celebrated as one of Hawaiʻi’s great masters. The family tradition was carried on by her daughter, Paulette Kahalepuna, and their legacy proudly continues today through Aunty Mary Lou’s moʻopuna, Mele Kahalepuna-Chun.
